We are studying insects this month! Each student chose one insect to study more in depth. We are currently working on creating PowerPoint Presentations and IBooks to display our learning. I will post the presentations once they are completed :). We also constructed life size versions of our insects to turn our classroom into a "Creepy, Crawly Insect Gallery" in our classroom!! The students did a wonderful job!
Next year, Washington Elementary will be a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) school. To celebrate this new venture, the entire school went on a field trip to Science Central in Fort Wayne!! It was a day filled with fun Science activities!!!
This week we started studying the Solar System. We are learning about our sun, moon and the planets. We even made "moon sand" to replicate what the surface of the moon might feel like.
