Field Trip to the Apple Orchard!

We had a PERFECT fall day to be at the orchard. Each student got to pick three apples, one gourd, and enjoy some fresh apple cider. We also went on a hay ride. It was a great day!!

The students learned that you can shine an apple by giving "apple backrubs". This is the apple backrub train. :)

Enjoying our Red Delicious apples!

Leaf Observation Day!

Today, we took a very windy leaf walk out on the fitness trail!! Each student collected two leaves and then worked with a partner and made observations. The students had to determine the size of the leaf and whether the edges of the leaves were jagged or smooth. Everyone did a wonderful job!
